Gingers with Blue Eyes Unite!

My sweet sister-in-law sent me a link to a Huffington Post article on Red Heads.
The article listed out several facts about ginger head people.  I found point number 4 of great interest.

4. Red hair and blue eyes is the rarest combination in the world
The majority of natural redheads have brown eyes, with others likely to have hazel or green shades.
But like red hair, blue eye colour is a recessive trait, meaning that both parents must carry the gene for a child to be blessed with it. This makes those with red hair and blue eyes the rarest minority in the world, with only 1% having both.
So, each one is about as rare as a four-leaf clover.

Another site I found for redheaded people The Ginger Parrot.  As all sorts of fun and interesting all to do with being Ginger.

So did anyone see the men's aerial ski jumping competition on Monday?  It was breath taking to watch.  I sooo wanted Mac Bohonnon to medal.  But the kid has lots of years ahead of him.  He did great for only being 18!  Go TEAM USA!

My book this month features a hero who is an aerial ski jumper.

Olympics are on! And it Snowed in Portland

Wow, we had a very snowy weekend here in Portland Oregon.  I stayed in doors and wrote and watched the Olympics!  I have a book out this month which features a champion aerial ski jumper as the hero. Nick Walsh is waiting to find out if he made the cut to compete in the winter games, but someone doesn't want him to live long enough to find out.
To see an interview with the heroine of the story visit http://craftieladiesofromance.blogspot.com
I had such a fun time researching this book.  I chose aerial ski jumping because of my own background in gymnastics.  At one time in my life I could flip and spin in the air off a trampoline or the end of a balance beam. Such an exhilarating feeling!
The men's aerial ski jumping competition stars on February 17th. Here's the schedule to see when your favorite event is.

But as Nick gets closer to achieving his dream, someone will do anything to stop him. Somehow, Nick must keep Julie from getting too close as they confront a threat that can destroy them both. Julie and Nick are on the verge of discovering the truth about his brother's death…unless an unknown murderer finds them first.
