Killer Image by Drema Reed

When I first wanted to start writing my mother-in-law, Drema Reed, was my biggest supporter.  She has read all of my books and has always been there for me and my family as I struggled to become a published author.  Now its her turn!  She has a cozy mystery out with Cozy Cat Press.
I'm so excited for her!!

When DJ Kelly and her three fellow Seattle art gallery owners open their doors one morning, they don’t expect to find a dead body on the floor. Who could this young woman be? And why has someone stabbed her to death and then ransacked their gallery? DJ’s talkative inner voice doesn’t have a clue, nor do her BFFs––Nita Marie, Jo, and Bobbie. None of their artwork seems to be missing. Maybe a framed photograph of a famous terrorist attack that apparently slipped under the copy machine during the burglary might hold a clue. Is this photograph a clue to the murder in their gallery? DJ isn’t certain, but when a jaded, know-it-all detective belittles her capabilities and those of her pals, DJ convinces her friends that they should take matters into their own hands––and four new crime fighters are born.

Her Christmas Protector release!

Today The Doctor's Defender hits shelves.  Look for it in a store near you.  Or online at Harlequin
or Amazon.

Do No Harm

As a trauma surgeon, Dr. Brenda Storm saves lives every day. But someone wants her dead.  It starts with the anonymous delivery of poisoned cupcakes.  Now the hospital has hired a bodyguard to protect her 24/7.  At first, Brenda doesn’t think too-handsome Kyle Martin is the right for the job.  Then she discovers his harrowing background—and that Kyle will do anything to keep her safe.  With every attempt on her life, she’s more drawn to the strong and silent man who risks his life for hers.  But their growing feelings could put them both in harm’s way.

On another note:
I'm so excited to announce one of my previous Love Inspired Suspense books is being released this coming November.   It won't be in stores but can be purchased in NOVEMBER via the Harlequin website.

“IF I CAN’T HAVE YOU, NO ONE WILL.”
Those words from her abusive ex-husband sent Faith Delange fleeing from everything familiar. And when a bus dropped her off in the small town of Sisters, Oregon, Faith immediately found room, board and a job on an isolated ranch. But she couldn’t tell her handsome new boss, Luke Campbell, what had her jumping at shadows during the joy of the holiday season— or what kept her out of his arms. She’d only put his and his frail mother’s lives at stake. Faith feared her past would never let her go, but could Luke be the one to give her a future?

Adorned in Grace

Daughter is packing for college this week.  As we sorted through what she'll take, leave here and give away, realized she has a ton of formal dresses.  Some have been given to her from the daughter of a dear friend, most we've bought over the years.  She decided to donate them to Adorned in Grace  Bridal & Formalwear features donated new and used wedding gowns, formal dresses, veils, shoes, petticoats and accessories. All proceeds are used to bring awareness, prevention, and safe shelter to the problem of sex trafficking.

Promoting your Book

Interesting take on how to promote one's book.  This is an area I'm not good at.  I don't tweet (I know--gasp), I don't pininterest (another gasp) and I barely Facebook and I do have a Goodreads page, but don't know what to do with it.    Why, you ask?  Well, because I'm writing.  A book every 3-4 months.  And being a mom and wife and serve at my kids schools and have a life outside of writing.  I just don't know how people do it all!    But I've decided this fall I will take one piece of advice and try it before my next book is released in October.

RWA and Disneyland

I'm back from Romance Writers of America's national writers conference.  What an exciting and fun week it was!  For four days I was emerged in information via workshops, luncheon speakers and networking with friends, agents and editors.  Every year I am so ready for this conference to jazz me and motivate me to get busy writing.  The buzz last almost all year.
This year's conference had the add bonus of being in Anaheim, the home of Disneyland.  I arrived on Tuesday and headed straight to the park with my good friends, Leah Vale, Jenna Bayley-Burke, Lissa Manley and Melissa McClone.  So much fun!
Above is from the Tower of Terror.  I'm in the center of the middle row.

This is me sitting in The Mad Hatter's lounge area.

Now that I'm home I have to get back to work.  A book is due, my daughter needs to pack for college and my 30th high school reunion is coming up.  Whew!  Lots to do.

The past weekend I was at a writer's conference. It was refreshing, rejuvenating and enlightening.
There were editors and agents and several workshops to spark creativity and gain knowledge about this crazy buisness. I enjoyed catching up with old friends and meeting new ones.
